Tuesday Through Sunday, You Can Shop Local at a San Diego Farmers Market
There’s no better way to live life in full bloom than exploring San Diego’s most vibrant farmers markets! Here are a few of my favorites by day of the week, and what you can expect to find at each market, everything from organic vegetables and fruits to decadent deserts and the stinkiest, yummy cheese selections, fresh flowers, and bread, to hand-made jewelry, and so much more. List of San Diego Farmers Markets:
Coronado Certified Farmers Market at Coronado Ferry Landing from 2:30 to 6 PM. Fresh produce, locally-grown, right off the farmers’ trucks. Great stop for fresh berries and flowers.
Pacific Beach Tuesday Certified Farmers Market from 2 to 6 PM at Bayard St. between Garnet Ave and Hornblend St. You’ll see fresh fruits, vegetables, select meats, cheeses, fresh eggs, breads, sauces and spreads, and flowers and herbs, gourmet dining and handcrafted works by local artisans. @pacificbeachmarket
Ocean Beach Certified Farmers Market from 4 PM to 8 PM
4900 Newport Ave from Cable St to Bacon St. The market has over 100 vendors including certified farmers, artisans and crafters, pre-packaged food, hot food, and more. @oceanbeachca
Little Italy Certified Farmers Market from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at
501 W Date St from Kettner Blvd to Front St. One of the best! Tons of fresh foods, nuts, olive oil, art, gifts, flowers, jewelry, and so much more. @littleitalymercato
Carlsbad State Street Certified Farmers Market from 3 PM to 7 PM at 2900 State St from Carlsbad Village Dr to Grand Ave. Consider this market as an open-air grocery store with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, nuts, honey, plants, flowers, and so much more! @carlsbadvillage
North Park Thursday Certified Farmers Market from 3 to 6 PM North Park Way between 30th St and Granada Ave. Over 50 vendors offering everything from farm fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheese, fresh fish, dips & sauces, yogurts, baked goods, bread, fresh flowers, hot foods, and local artisan crafts. @northparkmainstreet
Oceanside Certified Farmers Market from 9 to 1 PM at Pier View Way and Coast Hwy 101. Your search ends for fresh local produce, flowers, and a large selection of gourmet treats including artisan baked goods, organic honey, salsa and chips, dips and sauces, olives and olive oil, and so much more. @mainstreetoceanside
Rancho Bernardo Certified Farmers Market from 9 to 1 PM at Bernardo Winery. Offering everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to local honey, artisan breads and flowers. Amazing assortment of food vendors as well as local artisan jewelry, crafts, and gifts.
Little Italy Certified Farmers Market from 8 AM to 2 PM at

Del Mar Certified Farmers Market from 1 to 4 PM at the Civic Center. Take in the majestic Pacific Ocean while shopping. You’ll find pesticide free fruits and vegetables, along with eggs, various herbs, orchids, international cuisine including seafood, cheese, bread, baked goods, along with hummus, kettle corn, honey, fruit juice, arts & crafts, and some yoga. @delmar_farmersmarket
Leucadia Certified Farmers Market from 10 to 2 PM at Paul Ecke Elementary. 75 plus vendors offering fresh flowers, plants and certified organic produce, specialty foods such as bakeries, beef, seafood, marinades, pastas, sauces, and local artisan works as well. @leucadiafarmersmarket
La Jolla Open Aire Market from 9 to 1 PM at 7300 Block of Girard Ave at Genter St. Fresh produce, unique artisan finds, and yummy food. @lajollaopenairemarket
Rancho Santa Fe Certified Farmers Market from 9:30 to 2 PM at Del Rayo Village Center. @rsffarmersmarket
Solana Beach Farmers Market (is back!!!) from noon to 4pm 444 S. Cedros Ave. @solanabeachfarmersmarket Voted One of San Diego’s “Great Farmer’s Markets” by San Diego Magazine. They offer organic from locally certified farmers, artisan crafts and specialty goods. and… you must check out a booth called Earth + Clay Collective featuring beautiful and unique, handmade jewelry. @earthandclayco
