Here’s How to Adjust Your Sliding Doors

It can get very frustrating when constantly struggling to open and close sliding glass doors. Is it time replace your windows and doors? Not necessarily. There are a few things that can be done to get your sliding doors back on track.
What to Do When Sliding Glass Doors are Sticking and Difficult to Open
- First, check for dirt build up in the door track. If you can’t remember the last time it’s been cleaned, it’s time to do some maintenance.
- Once cleaned, lube the track with wd40 or the equivalent.
- If that doesn’t fix the issue, it may be time to adjust the height of the door so it stops rubbing on the track. You can do this by finding the holes for the adjustment rollers and using a Philips head screwdriver.
There you have it. Hopefully if you find yourself with a sticky sliding glass door, you can use the above tips to resolve this home maintenance issue.
