If the down payment wasn’t an issue, would you buy a home this year?
I was chatting with a friend the other day about purchasing a home in Del Mar. She didn’t realize she qualified for a less than 20% down loan and it got me thinking, If the down payment wasn’t an issue, would you buy a home this year?
There are some absolutely fantastic loan programs out there requiring less than 20% down right now and interest rates are still great, although, rates are forecasted to rise in 2022 to about 3.7%, the last I heard.
I recommend contacting a knowledgeable, local lender to find out your options and get a plan together. Even if you’re not ready at the moment, you can get things in motion, making progress toward your ultimate homeownership goal.
My good friend is now qualified for a loan and on the house hunt. As always, I’m happy to answer questions or point you in the right direction.
