The Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival will make its long-awaited return to San Diego when the three-day festival kicks off featuring more than 80 bands from all musical genres across eight stages uniquely positioned along the iconic waterfront of America’s Finest City. Acclaimed Pianist Misha Dichter Symphony Concert beginning at 4pm at Poway Center for Performing Arts. @powaysymphonyorchestra
The Poway Symphony Orchestra is incredibly proud to present Misha Dichter, celebrated piano soloist of world renown. Mr. Dichter has performed and recorded with some of the most illustrious conductors of the 20th and 21st centuries and he appeared as soloist with some of the major orchestras in Europe and the USA. He will perform here two concertos: Beethoven’s “Emperor Concerto” and Gershwin’s “Concerto in F”. Music Director John LoPiccolo said that ”this is a seldom occurring event in the classical music world, and to have Mr. Dichter join our orchestra for these two concertos is an exceptional honor.” To open the concert the orchestra will play the bright and sparkling “Festive Overture” by Shostakovich.
